About WV Box and Ship:
WV Box and Ship is a student-managed business dedicated to providing packaging, shipping, and logistics solutions. We offer valuable hands-on experience for WVU students to learn essential business skills while providing essential services to our community.
Position Overview:
WV Box and Ship is seeking part-time student managers to join our team for the summer and/or fall semester. This opportunity offers approximately 10-15 hours per week, allowing students to gain practical experience in various aspects of business management, including marketing, finance, accounting, supply chain, and operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Manager: Assist with developing and implementing marketing strategies, including social media, promotional events, and advertising initiatives.
- Finance Manager: Support financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities with cash flow.
- Accounting Manager: Maintain all financial transactions of the business and gain hands-on experience and proficiency in operating QuickBooks software.
- Supply Chain Manager: Aid in managing inventory levels and supplier relationships to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
- Student Manager: Support day-to-day business operations, including scheduling, overseeing of other student staff members, customer service, and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a student at West Virginia University, pursuing a degree in business or a related field.
- Strong interest in entrepreneurship and business management.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and basic computer skills.
- Availability to commit around 10 hours per week during the summer and/or fall semester.
